The idea of Horace & Sylvia's Public House was to create a place where local people can meet friends, and family in a warm and comfortable environment! A place where they can feel at home and welcome, just like everyone did at that small house on South Ninth Street. I hope you enjoy yourself as much as we enjoy having you!
Our goal at Horace & Sylvia's is to provide a neighborhood, atmosphere with high quality food, attentive service and reasonable prices. We try to achieve this through using local and seasonal ingredients, as well as a varied and reasonably priced wine selection.
At Horace & Sylvia's you will enjoy home style food served fresh and delicious in a comfortable environment. Sit down to a fancy white cloth meal, or enjoy a cold drink at our full bar. We have 18 beers on tap!
First and foremost, we want to thank all of our local patrons for their business with heartfelt gratitude. In these extremely trying economic times, we will continue to bring to you the finest quality foods at the lowest prices possible. We'd also like to introduce to you our newest member of the team: Brian Fugit, our Executive Chef. Brian brings to our team an intense passion for amazing foods at reasonable prices. Brian has been fortunate enough to have many years of hands on experience, starting as a prep cook at the Snapper Inn learning the basics, honing those skills with several of the major chain outfits at serval stints as Sous Chef under Executive Chefs George Apanasevich and David Suske at the Hyatt. His most recent endeavor was as Sous Chef at The Patio restaurant in West Hampton Beach under Executive Chef Ms. Katherine Kane. Please welcome Brian to the Horace & Sylvia team and give us a chance to delight your culinary senses. We look forward to serving you and your family.
